Status

This topic explains the different states of a card PIN:

Status	Description
`GENERATED`	When a new card is created through the Create Card API Endpoint, the `pinStatus` parameter is set to `Generated` — this generates a random PIN for the card, making it ready for instant usage.
`WAITING`	When a new card is created through the Create Card API Endpoint, the `pinStatus` parameter is set to `WAITING` — the PIN would be set later. If the PIN is not set, the card is not included in the embossing file and is not sent to the card manufacturer for printing the plastic card.
`SET`	The cardholder has manually set the PIN. If a card has multiple versions, you can set PIN only for the latest version. You must set the PIN when the card version status is `INITIAL`. If the card version status has changed to `ACTIVE`, it implies that the current card version is already operational; if you want to set PIN at this stage, you can do any of the following: Order a new card (reissue/replacement) and specify the `pinStatus` parameter as `WAITING` (Reissue Card Endpoint / Replace Card Endpoint), and then manually set the PIN later. Set the PIN via the Change PIN Endpoint.
`INHERITED`	This status is applicable for multiple card applications where the PIN is inherited from the main card application. The PIN is automatically inherited for the included card applications. Do not enter the PIN again for the secondary card applications as it will generate an error.
