Digital wallets, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay, allow cardholders to make payments using a digital wallet instead of using a physical payment card. When a card is added to a digital wallet, the original card number is not stored in the wallet. Instead, the card is tokenised. Tokenisation replaces the original card number with a digital payment token that can be used securely for payments. Digital wallet payments involve several participants working together, including you as an Enfuce customer, Enfuce as the processor, the card Scheme such as Visa or Mastercard, and the wallet provider. Understanding how these parties interact is important when implementing digital wallet support.
